Most Leukemia patients celebrate this week as a turning point in their therapy. Although we are celebrating, because we won't be visiting the hospital quite as often, Jemma really isn't done with the intensive phase of treatment due to the L'asparaginase study.
She still has eight weeks to go with an iv dose every two weeks. In addition, she will have to visit the hospital at least once per week for a blood check and to have her catheter cleaned. At the end of April her intensive portion should be finished and we all look forward to May when she will likely have her catheter removed.
On one of our walks the kids stopped to watch the heard of reindeer kept in a neighbor's backyard.
They spent lots of time jumping on the trampoline.
Jemma found she can still do the hula-hoop.
Since we plan to be visiting the hospital less frequently, I plan to write fewer Jemma-Leukemia status updates. Please visit again next Monday and future Monday's for updates.
