Hand constructed furniture, needlepointed pillows, hand-made baskets, beautiful and creative photos, homemade videos...... Kid made items of any type are fair game and they don't need to be homeschooled. This is their chance to shine. What did they choose to make? What patterns/books/tools did they use? How did they get the idea? What inspired them?

Usually I write about my daughter's hobbies. They have many and are mostly pretty crafty. My son is now developing a hobby. He's really into metal detecting. There is a group through my husband's work that likes to go out together looking for things. They have found coins, bullets, musket balls, buttons from military uniforms, and last year they even found a body. It was the body of an American from World War II. So far my son has found lots of aluminum foil, an old wrench, and a few coins that weren't too old, but were in pretty bad shape. He's still hoping for some good finds in the future.
