Hand constructed furniture, needlepointed pillows, hand-made baskets, beautiful and creative photos, homemade videos...... Kid made items of any type are fair game and they don't need to be homeschooled. This is their chance to shine. What did they choose to make? What patterns/books/tools did they use? How did they get the idea? What inspired them?

Last week in the hospital I showed my daughter how to make friendship bracelets. Her designs are very simple, but we found a web site with patterns ranging from simple to very complicated. So far she made one for a friend, grandma, her brother and dad. Her skills are improving rapidly and soon I will show her some more complicated designs. I like this activity because it's easy to carry around. We only need a small bag of embroidery floss and scissors.
What have your kids been up to?
