Leukemia - Maintenance Week 4 - A Package from Africa

Jemma's blood sugar is under control with her low sugar diet and her blood is at the desired low level. Although it's hard to see in the picture, her hair is starting to grow back again.

Did you know that Jemma has received packages from strangers in Michigan, Illinois, Texas, Pennsylvania, Virginia, England, and Australia? There are so many kind and giving people in this world.

This past weekend she received a package from Gambia.

We had to look up where Gambia was on the map, and now we want to visit.

The package included an African doll, drum, mask, money, bag, flag, and jewelry among the tourist brochure and postcards.

I'm continually amazed by the kindness and thoughtfulness that exists in this world. People on four continents - Europe, Australia, North America and Africa - have supported our family during this journey. Amazing!
