Hand Made Christmas Gifts

Last year many hand made Christmas gifts were found under our Christmas tree. Lots of them came from the kids. I was very impressed with their creativity and forethought.

While my oldest spent a month during the summer at grandma's house when my husband and I were dealing with Jemma's Leukemia she learned to embroider. She completed a large stack of dish towels and customized this fuzzy blanket for Jemma.

While grandma spent a month at our house helping us adjust to caring for a child with Leukemia she taught the girls to make yo-yo flowers. Jemma surprised me with this sweatshirt decorated with three flowers she made. I will treasure this shirt forever.

Grandma is the driving force behind all the crafting that occurs in our house. She loves to knit and sew. Each of these earwarmers were hand-knit and decorated with flowers. Thanks to her we have quite a collection of hats that we love to wear.

Woodworking is not one of our strengths......... but my dear friend Amy has a wood shop set-up in her garage. She invited the kids over to make these clocks. The secret to transferring the photo to the wood is a material that comes in a tube like toothpaste called gel medium. My son completed this clock for his father.

I think this bear named Ice has more clothes than me. She received two more outfits on Christmas morning. Can you guess who made them? I'll give you a hit. She has her own blog and Ice is the star.

Last but certainly not least..... we each received a pair of handmade fleece pajamas embroidered with our names from grandma. The boys only received pants, because they get too hot. I love the snowmen and I think we look so cute in our matching PJ's.
