........ and here's how we ended 2013! Each year our village hosts an annual Silvesterlauf (New Year's Run). This year there were more runners than in the 41 year history of the race. 980 people completed the 10 km race on a sunny and warm afternoon. My 12 year old (in the green) ran for the first time and finished second out of eighteen girls in her age group with a time of 53 minutes. Now that's physical education at its finest. We're so proud of her!
