Hobbies and Handicrafts - June 14

Will you be studying Ancient China soon? Marie's Pastiche is all about China. Her blog has over 100 posts and almost all of them are on China. Cooking, festivals, inventions, dynasties and projects galore.

This week she linked up a tutorial on making your own compass. This is a fun project on it's own, but if you plan to study China in the future be sure to visit Marie's Pastiche.

We did an Ancient China Unit Study last year which covered the dynasties in historical order with projects for each. Angelicscaliwags has done done several hands-on activities in connection with Ancient China. The picture study activity was very inspiring.

I'm so excited that summer has arrived. We went swimming for the first time in a year and are enjoying some much needed down time. What have your kids been doing?
